DECEMBER 2008
12/6 - Maia Friedman / Trevor Wilson / many others / Bennington College (Carriage Barn)
As their final projects for a class called 'Whose Opera', both Maia and Trevor presented mini-operas, and performed in others' works. It was all video taped, and hopefully will be released in the future!
12/7 - Pegasissy / Advrb / Trevor Wilson / Bard College (Bard Hall), Annondale-on-Hudson NY
We had a great time here, enjoying the local flavors, ushered by our gracious host, M. Dart. A beautiful performing space. Nice to see new faces!
12/10 - Pegasissy / Bear Paw / Skippy / Advrb / Trevor Wilson / Bennington College (Dewey)
This was a OFR showcase show, with short sets by five artists. We made it as cozy as we possibly could. Lots of people came in and out as they were rushing to finish their final papers seeking temporary solace, or landing there as a celebration of having all their work done.
12/27 - Pegasissy / Krebstar / Blast Action / Wandering Goat, Eugene OR
Adrian Orange was supposed to headline, but his recent "thug" persona got in the way of his being in the state. We were possibly the better for it. A footage of the concert can be seen here!

We continue to be impressed by the family of wonderful people and musicians here. Be sure to go to a show there when you're in the area! This was a wonderful afternoon potluck show.

11/21 - Alex Sauser-Monnig / Trevor Wilson / Bennington College (Carriage Barn)
This was a huge event involving multiple new dance, visual art, and sound works. In addition to the myriad showings by about a dozen other students, paintings by Alex were shown in the Fireplace room, and Trevor performed a dance/voice improvisation with Asher Woodworth.

This was an interpretation of punk rock as Bear Paw has known it. Pegasissy melted faces as usual.

This was an exciting moment for an otherwise low-key summer in Bennington. The performers played infront of Amelia's 'YES' sculpture, which encouraged good feelings.
7/14 - The Wailing Wall / Trevor Wilson / The Book Mill, Montague MA
Montague treated us very nicely. The Book Mill is the physical embodiment of everyone's collective romantic portrayals of their future.

There was a beautiful spirit of generosity in the air as our friend in Brattleboro showed us the true spirit of community and giving. A single lamp was our dear friend that night.

An interesting gallery space of unprecious art. Kind folks abound.

An extremely vibrant community, with some impressive live-in sculptures. An exciting end to the 'Bed Bath and Beyond' mini-tour.

MAY 2008
5/2 - Tall Ships / Bennington College (Student Center)
The atmosphere was definitely one of reminiscing- I think the whole crowd had one foot in the past that night. Everyone in Tall Ships had a blast, though we missed Alex. The overall consensus- the group must go on!
5/3 - Advrb / Anastasia Clarke / Alex Sauser-Monnig / Young Mountain / Bennington College (Swan 14)
Ian (Bear Paw) set up his room, quite graciously, as a little performance space for this show. Students were also encouraged to bring their artwork, and every nook was graced by a print, drawing, or whatever. An over-capacity room forced us to snap our fingers at the end of songs instead of clapping, so as not to draw attention from the powers that be.
5/8 - Key Lime Pussy (Skippy's rock band) / Bennington College (Upcafe)
With Roby Moulton and company. KLP had a new lineup, featuring Jackson Emmer, Clairborne, and Alex Bleeker... yes!

A very unique show, taking place outside in an otherwise very dark area. There were many candles, and many a song played - friendly guests also played songs.

We had some great pizza pie, although Jesse was pretty ambitious and ordered the vegan crust. Jason played an epic set and took it out in the streets.
